25 Years of Cajun and Blues Just Outside L.A.

The Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival has served as the greatest gathering of Cajun, Blues and Zydeco musicians in Southern California for more than two decades. Each year, the music fest brings together the best Blues performers with the best Cajun and Zydeco performers over Memorial Day weekend for a solid two days of good music, good southern Cajun-Creole cookin’ and family-friendly activities.

Memorial Day Weekend 2014, the show goes on.

While the music festival offers the opportunity for Blues and Cajun fans in the Simi Valley area to discover new musicians and revisit old favorites, the festival isn’t just about the music. Held in Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, the Simi Valley music fest is sponsored by The Rotary of Simi Sunrise and aids multiple local organizations. Area organizations who benefit from the proceeds of the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival include the American Cancer Society, Simi Valley High School, the Simi Valley Cultural Art Center, Meals on Wheels, 4-H and many more.

To find out if your favorites will be performing at the festival’s silver anniversary (25 years!) in 2014, keep an eye on the festival blog. Your attendance will help you find great music and benefit your local community.
