Bayou Brothers to Perform on Cajun/Zydeco Stage at 25th Anniversary

Come this Memorial Day Weekend 2014, don’t be surprised if Rancho Santa Susana Community Park is alive with the beats and rhythms of a Louisiana Dance Club. It can only mean one thing – the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival, returning for its Silver Anniversary.

This 25th Anniversary will be celebrated with the Bayou Brothers on the Cajun/Zydeco stage. Named Best Blues Band at the 2013 San Diego Music Awards, their Louisiana down home musical recipe includes accordions, harmonicas, drums, guitars, and of course rubboards, seasoned with heart-thumping enthusiasm and showmanship. They’ll be joined by the Cajun, Zydeco, and Blues bands that return year after year, as well as new and exciting up-and-coming acts.

As usual, the festival air will be a-swirl with the most tempting, mouth-watering, aromas west of the Mississippi, as festival goers fuel up on pots of gumbo, crawfish stew, red beans and rice, and other Cajun-Creole specialties before getting back to dancing.

Another “as usual” – thanks to the generosity of the festival’s corporate sponsors, the proceeds of ticket sales will benefit over 50 charities. To find out what other bands will be joining the Bayou Brothers, keep in touch at the Cajun Blues Blog.
