Best Cajun and Creole Restaurants

When Memorial Day weekend rolls around, one of the hottest events in SoCal is the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival. The upcoming 2014 fest will be celebrating its 25th anniversary and it’s a party you won’t want to miss.

The festival is a rich blend of Cajun, Zydeco, Creole and Blues music wailing and rifting from the stages. While your ears are soaking up the sounds, your palate will be savoring the best Creole and Cajun food being served in town from crawfish to Jambalaya.

If you find you have a craving for Cajun or Creole food after the music fest ends, satisfy your taste buds at Los Angeles restaurants such as the Gumbo Pot, La Louisanne, M’dear’s Desserts Bakery & Bistro, and Harold & Bell’s Restaurant.

Along with toe-tapping, hand-clapping music, the fest has something for everyone including a play area for kids, interactive workshops, dance lessons, talent shows, specialty acts, parade, and over one hundred arts, crafts and food vendors.

The 2014 festival is two full days of entertainment starting Saturday, May 24th through Sunday, May 25th.
