The Ventura County Blues Society

The all-volunteer staff of the Ventura County Blues Society is dedicated to two missions – promoting blues music and supporting local charities. The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization accomplishes both goals at once by scheduling events that celebrate and enrich the Southern California blues music scene and donating the funds generated to charity.

Similar to the Ventura County Blues Society, the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival also works on promoting blues music, and Cajun/Zydeco music as well.

This local gala draws Blues and Zydeco fans from all over the world for two days of simultaneous foot-stomping music on its Blues, Zydeco, and Cajun stages, and of course Cajun food delights like gumbo and crawfish. The Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival, like the Ventura County Blues Society is dedicated to dual purposes – fostering the appreciation of Cajun and Blues Music while benefitting Simi Valley charities and those that aid people of Cajun heritage.
