2018 Cajun & Blues Music Festival Performer: Eddie Money

2018 Cajun & Blues Music Festival Performer: Eddie Money

This year’s Cajun & Blues Music Festival was honored to host music legend Eddie Money.  Money is best known for his string of hits in the ‘70s and ‘80s, many of which were Top 40 hits and eventual platinum albums.  Some of his best-known songs include “Baby Hold On,” “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Maybe I’m a Fool,” and many more!

In addition to his prolific commercial music career, Money is also credited for writing and performing several original songs for films such as Americathon, Over The Top, Back to the Beach, and The Kuffs as well as for the TV series Hardball.

Money first started his music career in Berkley, California where he was signed to Columbia Records in the late 1970s.  Money saw immediate commercial success and continued to advance his career with the release of humorous narrative music videos in the early 1980s.  Unfortunately, Money experienced some setbacks as he battled drug addiction in 1983.  Luckily, he made a resurgence in 1986 and returned to the mainstream music world.  Throughout the ‘90s and 2000s Money continued to release albums.  Currently, Money still actively tours, most recently gracing the stage at this year’s Cajun & Blues Music Festival in May.
