Doug Kershaw to Perform at Cajun & Blues Music Festival

Doug Kershaw is an amazing talent that should not be missed when you attend the Cajun & Blues Music Festival in May!

Kershaw battled with depression and sorrow despite the success of his solo career. His father had committed suicide when he was only aged seven.

In the 1970s, he released several albums but they failed live to the successes of “Louisiana Man” and “Diggy Liggy Lo.”

In the 1980s, however, he rebounded his career with the hit single “Hello Woman,” which reached the country music’s Top 40. By 1984, his struggle with drugs and alcohol came to a close and his previously erratic behavior became a thing of the past as he changed his ways for the better.

In 2009, Doug Kershaw was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

Doug Kershaw is scheduled to play on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the STEPHEN D. SMITH MEMORIAL CAJUN STAGE at 6:05 p.m. Make sure that you don’t miss this amazing act!
