How to Keep This Year’s Resolutions

Try out these suggestions to help you keep your 2019 resolutions.

If you have set goals for this new year, then you might be worried about your ability to keep them.  If you need help staying motivated to keep your resolutions, then here are some of the suggestions that you should try.

Be Realistic

First, you need to make sure that the goals you are setting are actually attainable.  Setting goals that are too ambitious is a surefire way to fail.  So, before anything else, evaluate your resolutions to ensure that you can actually accomplish them within the year.

Make a Plan

Once you have verified that your goals are realistic, it’s time to make a plan.  When you make a plan, you will have a clear path to accomplishing your goals.  Additionally, laying out the steps that you need to take will make it much easier to stay on track and stay motivated.

Make Yourself Accountable

Once you have set your resolutions and laid out your plan, you should share this with others.  When your loved ones know about your goals, then they can support you and motivate you to keep going.  Additionally, they can hold you accountable and ensure that you aren’t being lazy when it comes to your resolutions.

Be Forgiving

If you do happen to slip up, it’s important that you aren’t too hard on yourself.  You are only human, and it’s natural to make mistakes.  So, be forgiving and rededicate yourself to your goals.  This will ensure that a small slip up does not completely stall your progress.
